So even though I am trying to justify Logic's behavior - there comes a point when if the competition can do it - the "works as designed" response becomes less justifiable. With all that said however - It is possible to do what you are asking in both Finale and Sibelius. So it it not a deficiency but rather a "works as designed" issue. ![]() The reason I post this is that as with any application that is developed, some set of guidelines must be adhered to and I suspect Emagic/Apple designed Logic to conform to some set of musical standards / guidelines. However, here is a link which explains why the enharmonic equivalents are used in modern music with equal temperament scaling. ![]() I am not a music theorist (is that even a word), but your question was intriguing and forced me to see if there was any way Logic could in fact do this (even with trickery) and of course I could not find an easy way (although I am not done trying yet). ![]()
